I got to use what I learned!!!

I'm so excited, I went to get my nails done today with Kristina and we tried the Rose Nail's by the dollar store on Stockdale Hwy, and amazingly my nail Tech is Deaf!!! it was sooooo cool to get to ask her questions and talk to her. I found out that her name is Amy, that she works there, and I was able to tell her that I was taking an ASL class and that my teachers name was Deann and it was at BC! she taught me how to sign the words sit and like, so I have added to more things to my list. by the time I left we were promising to come back it two weeks, and everyone that works with her was excited that we were taking a class and could come in and talk with her!!! I just thought I would share my excitement in being able to use the ASL that I had learned in my 2 classes to communicate with a deaf person :) can't wait to go back to class on Tues. and share it with my teacher.......I'm also hoping that the 2 hrs we spent there and talking can count toward my 15 hrs of deaf community interaction!
