My funny son!

Matthew has a packet of homework that he brings home with him every Monday, and all of the papers are due back finished and in class on Friday. Last week one of the things that he brought home was a picture of an Elephant that had a grid drawn on it. Apparently the kids have been working on recognizing and compleating patterns last week. Well for this particular assignment Matthew had to pick two colors and create a pattern on the elephant and color the whole thing.
So my son picked Blue and Red, and began his pattern.......Blue, Red, Blue, Red, Blue, Red.....all the way accross and down this giant Elephant grid. He was just about done with the elephants trunk and he looks up and says:
"You know what would be funny mommy?"

"What's that?" I reply

and ever so matter of factly, " If the elephant sneezes, it's gonna sneeze PURPLE!"

of course I had to ask "Why Purple?"

"Because blue and red mixed together make purple" (in the requiste....duh mom! voice)

I am amazed every day at the amount of things he knows and retains!!!

BTW.....after he finished his pattern on the elephant, he just had to get out the purple crayon and color a nice big purple spray of snot coming out of the elephants trunk so Mrs. Cable could see what would happen if the elephant sneezed!

LOL I love my goofy son!
