wanna know something cool????
there is internet access at the church where I watch kids on Wed. nights!
I'm sure that sounds really goofy, but I am jonesing for an internet fix right now and this is just what I needed.....2 hrs of surfing the web...Ahhhh!
Well, so much has happened I don't know where to start! Rob's hours picked up alot at work, and the kids and he were just UNABLE to adjust to me having to be gone so much working. Rob was having anxiety attacks, matthew was having trouble in school, our house was a dissaster even by my lax standards, my kids were both sick and going compleate weeks without showers, not to mention my hubbby was almost not passing his classes. So we are very greatful that I am no longer working now.
Money is still tight but we can atleast survive, and I have signed up for classes again starting I Jan. I am changing my major to Elementary Education and possiably getting a single subject credintal in Math so that I can teach JR. high and High school math if I want. Still looking into the double creditial program at Cal state.
I have started to make it my job to save us money so that it is cost effective for me to be home with the kids rather than be out there looking for a job. 1st I have started making a menu plan for dinners and I do my groccery shopping off of the list, so we save money, and I know exactly what I am cooking every day which helps me to actually cook it! 2nd I have started making our bread, the old fashoned way, by hand. its not as complicated as I thought it would be, although a bit time consuming waiting for the raising I can make 8-10 loves of bread/rolls/biscuts ect. for about $3 so its a big savings! I was also given a starter for amish friendship bread and have been making a really yummy quick bread for breakfast and dessert with pudding mix every 10 days.
I feel like suzie homemaker! LOL
of course I am still at the kids school Mon. and Fri. and helping inbetween whenever I can. Yesterday I helped at the SantaSecret Shop at matthew's school where the kids can come with money and buy $1-$15 dollar gifts for mom, dad, sisters, brothers, and other family. Its really fun to help the kids decide what to get and help them stay in budget! Tonight, while samantha and I are at the church watching kids, Matthew is at Awana's with Rob and one of his little buddies Michael from school. Tomarrow Matthew is making Gingerbread houses with his class and I am going to help him. and of course Friday I will be with Samantha at her school hanging out.
This Sat. we are processing more pumpking for Christmas pumpkin pies...yummy! and Sunday I teach Sunday School classs with the kids!
I am truely enjoying my buys schedual and the kids seem to be much happier having me home, I know I'm happy to be there again!
Oh and Rob passed his first two finals and takes the 3rd one tomarrow, so proud of him!
Our house is all decorated for Christmas, can you believe we only have a little more than 2 weeks until the Big Day!?!?! where has this year gone? I just can't believe how much has happened in the last 11 months, I am praying for a little less excitement next year, I could use a little mundane for a while :)
For a little holiday cheer I will share my wonderful Son's version of Deck the Halls that he shared with us today:
"Spike the Halls with Boggs of Jolly.......fala lala la lala la la"
Happy holidays to you all!
