Roller Coaster Week!

This week seems to have been quite the roller coaster!

Monday was just a cranky day, I woke up that was and apparently so did my kids, but I found out why on Tuesday night when Samantha started complaining of a soar throat. I looked and sure enough she had the beginings of little white spots on her tonsils! I got up early Wed. Morning and got them both appointments for 8:30am with the doctor.....2 1 1/2 hours later, we left with Amoxacillin for Samantha and negative quick strep tests from both. Matthew's appeared to be more allergies than anything, but since samantha was getting worse and they had both been around thier sitter who had strep two weeks ago we decided to play it safe.

Thursday both kids stayed home, and Rob did too. The company he works for had him doing contract work for another Bigger company, and the bigger company decided it wasn't sending any more money to the yard for projects until after a week long audit that starts next week some time..............SO, Rob's company didn't have any work for him to do Thursday, since he couldn't buy the parts he needed to finish any of the jobs! I had to take Matthew to physical therapy, which we were almost late for......and then our therapist was out sick! so we saw another of the ladies there, but she wasn't nearly as good at keeping matthew on task, and didn't do the excercises in the same way as Jan, so matthew was struggling to stay on task and listen......ugh! Jan should be back on Tuesday again thank goodness!

So here we are at Friday, I decided to keep Samantha home today too, partially so she could finish recouping, and partially because they are having a Bike-A-Thon at the preschool, and not only did we neglect to fundraise for it, but I figured riding around on her bike for an hour was probably not the best thing for her health anyway (although she is almost 100% better and 48+ hours on the antibiodics). Matthew had a ENT doc. appointment today at 8:30am and the doctor says his adnoids and tonsils are HUGE even with our nightly use of claritin and Nasonex for the last few months, so he reccomended we have them removed. His secretary will call to set up an appointment for the surgery...it should be next month some time.

School has been great for Matthew this week, We have kept it kinda low key with everyone sorta feeling crudy, but we have still managed to get alot done. Samantha was home with us most of the week, so she got to have some lessons too. We worked on writting the letters O,M,T, and E both upper and lower case and with a little help (she can't seem to remeber 14) she can count all the way to 29! It's hard to believe that she is 4 already :)

Just for fun, here is a picture of the kids haning out in the pharmacy, and one of Matthew in his "school Uniform" aka spiderman robe, and our "class Mascott" aka, Poe the kitty cat! :)
