Grandpa

Yesterday we got mail from My grandmother in MN for Matthew's birthday. It had a card and a note from great grandma Hartwig like it always has...only this Card was only signed great Grandma Hartwig....and the envelope doesn't have the little address sticker that says Ralph Hartwig, or Ralph and Phyllis Hartwig...It just says Phyllis Hartwig. I realized its been a year and a half almost since my Grandfather died...this is the first time it really hit me that he's not there anymore...not even in the signiture on the cards or the return address label.
I wasn't close to my grandparents as an adult, but I was as a child...weird that it's hitting me today....I miss you Grandpa....
