It's payday........NOT!

Yesterday was supposed to be payday.......supposed to be......

This payday's pay period was from the 4th of Aug- 15th of Aug. We were supposed to be back from S.C. on the 13th so Rob could work the 15th, 16th and 17th.......some how I thought that all of that would be on the check, but we ended up stuck because of the plane cancellation and didn't get back until the wee hours of the 16th. So payday came yesterday and we got a big fat NOTHING. Which means we have to wait another 14 days to see any pay from this week's work that Rob is doing, isn't that great? NOT!

We start school on Monday, sort of.....not sure how long we are going to be able to hold out without our books for class, hopefully at least a week or two untill our school money comes in and we can buy them?

I'm anal sometimes, so I decided to add up all of the money that we owe currnetly so that I would know how much we will need to make up, I'm figuring at this point its going to take me at least 6 months mabey 9 to get us back on track.......of course it could be longer since I somehow have to get a christmas present or two for the kids in Dec. I have to get or make costumes for October, Matthew turns 6 in November and Samantha turns 4 in Jan. so anyway the grand total for what we owe in current over due payments (utilities, credit cards, medical, ect...) and negative balances for the banks is: $2554.76

of course that doesn't include the gas we will need to get to and from schools, or Rob's doctors appointment, or refills on my perscriptions, or animal food, or additional late fees after the due dates in early september.... or any of the other regular expenses we will have, but hopefully Rob's check on the 5th of september will at least afford us the gas and meds and hopefully the van payment and insurance.

If Rob's dad continues to pay for the car payment for us and let's rob use his credit card for gas for the little blue car and I get a job that pays $8.oo an hour at 40hrs/per week I can pay our minimum vehical operation costs, grocceries, animal insurance and cell phones. If Rob can get enough money from odd jobs to cover the utilties for the winter then I can put $116 dollars a month toward our debt, meaning it will take us 22 months to get everything paid for. We will have to use our pell grant money for school books and to pay off the computer we bought for Rob a few months ago when he had a steady job, and with what is left I am going to try and pay for the kids birthday and christmas's. If we get a tax refund in Febuaryish time frame, then I will use it to register the vehicals and get all the tune ups done on both cars, plus I am sure the van will need new tires by then with all the use it is gettting, and mabey shave 8 months or so off of our get caught up plan? If Rob's dad can't pay the car payment for us past about 6 months or so then I will have to use the tax money to keep the car payed for.

Crap I just realized that I need to buy the kids winter coats and clothes, I will have to see what they have in there drawers that didn't fit them last year, mabey we can sneak buy with just a few things and some belts. Ok so its looking more like 24-28 months before I can say we are offically on our feet again. And then we will be starting the university for both of us! and only 2 years from finally having our degree's God willing!

Uhggggg.......money sucks! I hope the economy picks up in the next year or so!
I applied for 2 more jobs online yesterday, and I'm going to check the paper for new ones tomarrow after church. I contemplated not going to church on Sunday so that we don't use any gas in the van, but I think I need the refill of my faith....I'll talk to Rob when he gets home tonight and see what he wants to do. Mabey if we talk to the curch pastors they can offer some help with text books for one of us or something? I don't know......grasping at straws I guess......

Hey - if your kids want to be pirates, I have costumes you can use! I know it's small, but it might help. We also have a cowboy costume, never worn, would fit Matthew.

Let us know if you need anything else and I'll see what we can come up with!
I think going to church is WELL worth the gas - at least your hearts will be full, even if your wallets aren't. :) Have a great Sunday!
