sometimes...I'm still amazed!

Sometimes the things people do amaze me! while I was gone to WA, I found out that my FIL had "decided" that he wanted "all non-blood relations" out of the house by May 1st! and that he had paid the last rent check on Freds apartment for April and he would be moving into the garage ( which apparently was some how going to be magically transformed from unfinished-broken door structure to livable space in a matter of 3 weeks!) Well let me tell you, I was PISSED. 1st the Girls were still trying to find a place that would take animals and was withing their price range, 2nd I don't want to live with my 30 year old BIL who can't hold down a job, lives off his dad, has no HS diploma, and no desire to change any of it!
So everyone scrambled...the girls applied for an apartment, Cheryl got accepted to her own appartment and Manning talked to rob about fixing the garage all before I got home. I found out that Cheryl can't take her dog with her, she asked us to keep her and Rob agreed. Rob told his dad there was NO way everyone could be moved out AND the garage done in such a short time. It was decided that Fred would move into the room Cheryl was using until the girls moved out, then into the girls room and finally into the garage. This change meant that we had to tell Samantha who had been waiting for nearly a year to get it back (she was only supposed to wait for 6 weeks initially!) at this point I was FUMING!
My MIL came over on Thursday, and I decided that I should talk to her. so I start the conversation with " sorry I wasn't very talkative today, I'm just really stressed about this whole Fred thing"
she says "What Fred thing?"
"well, with him moving into the garage and everything" I say....
"What? I didn't know anything about that!"
I couldn't believe my ears....WHAT! how could she not have known?!
we talked for nearly an hour, and she promised me she would handle it and kept telling me how sorry she was.
by 5 o'clock Thursday night, my FIL had called to say that Fred wouldn't be living with us!
I still can't believe that Manning didn't tell his wife about any of his plans....It just amazes me!
